Grilled Naan Pizza – Makes 3-4 servings
Naan
2C All-purpose flour
3 ½ Tbsp Butter
¾ C Milk
½ tsp Salt
½ tsp Garlic Powder
½ tsp Paprika (optional)
Pizza toppings of your choice
Add butter to milk in small saucepan, heat just until melted
Combine flour, salt, garlic powder and paprika (if using)
Slowly add milk/butter to dry ingredients and stir
Turn out dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead lightly, no need to over knead. Dough should be pliable and only slightly sticky.
Wrap dough in clear wrap and let rest for 20-30 min
Cut dough into 3 or 4 pieces and roll into balls on lightly floured surface. Roll out dough with rolling pin (or use hands to stretch) into ¼” thick rounds.
Lightly oil grill and turn temp to high heat; at 400º reduce to medium high heat.
Place each Naan on the grill and cook for approximately 2 min. Remove from heat, turn and place on a plate (undercooked side on the bottom) and top with favorite pizza toppings.
Return Naan to grill on the undercooked side and continue to heat until cooked (or toppings such as cheese begins to melt), approximately 2-3 minutes.
Serve immediately.
